It doesn’t look like they’ll be indulging in a long engagement as Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and One Directions Zayn Malik are revealed to be set to marry as soon as next year.
Zayn’s mum spoke in a one off interview with the BBC, saying: ‘They're thinking of the end of next year, although no date has yet been set yet.’
Zayn’s mum, Trisha, also revealed details of her relationship with her future daughter-in-law:
‘Perrie is a lovely girl and I get on really well with her.’
In the interview, Trisha also mentioned the difficulties of raising such a famous son.
She also spoke about the financial hardships she faced before Zayn struck lucky with One Direction. Zayn bought his mother her own home with his boy band fortune.
She said: ‘We never had enough money to buy our own house… We always lived in rented accommodation, so Zayn knew how very important it was for me to have my own place.’
Though grandchildren may be far in the future, Trisha spoke about how she would not like to be too far away from any mini Zayns and Perries.
She said: ‘If they have children I wouldn't like to be so far away from them. I would really like to still be part of their lives.’
